Develop and implement a robust enforcement policy/strategy/framework and associated procedures for the issuing of penalties for contraventions which support some of the existing work streams undertaken by the Private Rented Housing Team (PRH).
This will include but not limited to investigation and appropriate enforcement action including the issuing of penalties for “private rented housing work” encompassing failure to belong to Client Money Protection Schemes (CMP); non display of information(fees/membership); failure to belong to redress scheme and offences under the EPC/MEES legislation in privately rented premises (Energy Performance Certificates/Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards).
The post holder is expected to act as the lead authorised officer on matters relating to letting agents/landlords and energy efficiency.
To provide a response to service requests and provide high quality, timely technical and professional advice around this subject area.
To main accurate case management notes.
To exercise delegated enforcement powers.
