We are looking for a Trading Standards Officer for our local authority client.
This role will initially be based within the Community Protection Team but you will carry out enforcement work of the full range of Trading Standards legislation, which includes responding to complaints and enquiries, undertaking proactive work, inspecting businesses and investigating alleged offences.
You must be experienced in the investigation process and the taking of witness statements.
You will have a positive attitude and the ability to work flexibly according to the needs to the Service. You will also have excellent communication and organizational skills.
The work is investigation based, and so we are looking for officers who have good experience of investigation report compilation, are thorough, have excellent attention to detail, who understand the rules of evidence, have good experience of statement taking, evidence gathering and knowledge of Consumer Protection Regulations and the Fraud Act.
