Trading Standards Officer (Animal Feed)

Full Vacancy Description

The Feed Hygiene (Professional) Officer will be required to undertake a range of interventions including sampling as defined under the Food Standards Agency's Feed Law Code of Practice (FLCOP). Interventions will be carried in a range of approved feed establishments, manufacturers, mixers and on farm settings. The officer will possess the relevant qualifications as required by the FLCOP (i.e. DCATS Agriculture paper or equivalent).

•           Qualifications:

o          BSc or Diploma in Trading Standards.

o          Possess the relevant qualifications as required by the FLCOP (i.e. DCATS Agriculture paper or equivalent).

•           Ability to carry out a range of interventions including sampling as defined under the Food Standards Agency's Feed Law Code of Practice (FLCOP).

•           Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages.
