Trading Standards Enforcement officer
I am currently recruiting for a Trading Standards Enforcement Officer to join a Yorkshire based Trading Standards department on a temporary basis.
You will be supporting the front-line officers within a team of experienced and motivated staff.
You will be responsible for reviewing and recording incoming complaints, identifying and logging intelligence and tasking work to officers.
Other duties include:
To attend court and give evidence as required.
To investigate complaints from members of the public or where appropriate, signpost service users to partner organisations for specialist advice
To make appropriate records of the work carried out and generally undertake administrative functions, respond to all matters including correspondence in accordance with council policies and maintain a high level of competence in the use of information technology
Liaise with other enforcement agencies, Government departments and professional bodies
To comply with corporate and statutory confidentiality requirements
To be successful in this role you will be enthusiastic, passionate, and committed to protecting local residents from financial abuse.

Be proactive in your approach to work
Have excellent organisation skills
An ability to accurately record and maintain data
Be able to produce reports
Provide support to investigating officers including collating legal files.
You will preferably have experience of working in an enforcement role, be proactive and able to work on your own initiative. Would suit people with a background in Trading Standards, Police or a similar enforcement background
