Trading Standards Enforcement Job, West Midlands Leading Local Authority
We are currently recruiting for a Trading Standards Enforcement Officer to start ASAP on a temporary, ongoing basis. The Council offers a range of opportunities and regeneration. Your new role As a Trading Standards Enforcement Office, you will be handed a compiled list of complaints that have been received and assess the required actions for each and hand the information through to the senior Intelligence Officers and providing the relevant support. In addition to this, you will also be supporting the team in relation to a new concern involving unregulated money lending. You will be required to use online tools and social media to covertly investigate money lending and compile an in depth report over a period of time to present to the Council and treasury boards.
It is anticipated that this investigation could cover at least 12 months. What you'll need to succeed It is essential you have a background in covert investigations, such as the police, insurance or banking. As a large amount of the investigation will take place online, it is also essential you have strong IT skills and a good understanding of social media platforms.
