Full Vacancy Description

We are recruiting for Programme Officers to join a team based in Nottingham.

To support the development and delivery of the coordinated programme of Covid enforcement activity across Nottinghamshire in order to reduce the transmission and incidence of coronavirus in the County.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of assigned areas of the Contain framework programme within a defined Community Safety Partnership (CSP) area.

Provide corporate and county wide leadership on a specified aspect of the Contain Framework e.g., Contact Tracing, Enforcement, Data sharing, testing.

Develop engage and maintain strong relationships with all key Contain partners including District Councils, Police etc within the defined CSP.

Help drive forward the delivery of key projects within the Contain activity framework within the CSP.

Maximise the Contain impact of the local tasking meetings between district, policy and public health.

Provide district input to the local Outbreak cell including summary of local intelligence, investigations and actions.

Champion and support the use of Covid case management system in the management of local investigations and outbreaks.

Supporting the Contain Programme Manager, Outbreak Director and Director of Public Health on any other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal skills, to engage, consult, and develop constructive relationships with others including partners.

Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Self-driven with the ability to adopt a flexible "can do" approach to work at pace and deal with a fluid situation or equally to work to protocols/instruction when directed.

Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Proven ability to use problem solving techniques.

Proven flexible approach to work tasks and willingness to work outside normal weekday office hours if necessary.

Proven ability to ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Ensures the Council's policies for fairness and respect are delivered including setting high personal standards.

Experience 

Experience of successful partnership working with officers and elected members at a variety of

Proven experience of leading successful projects.

Experience of developing and delivering new initiatives and evaluating their outcomes.

Experience of building and sustaining positive working relationships.

Experience of using performance management systems.

Experience of handling conflict and managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.
