Principal Technical Officer
Required to assist tackle the back log of property licensing inspections.
The PTO must have significant experience in inspecting privately rented properties and follow-up enforcement action.
Private Sector Housing Officer
Detailed knowledge of environmental health, building and housing legislation to improve housing standards within the remit of environmental health and working knowledge of other council functions such as Housing Strategy, Planning and Building Control, Trading Standards as well as other agencies such as the Fire Service and Health and Safety Executive.
Must be a qualified Environmental Health Officer with an MSc. or BSc. (Hons) Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health, and have successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health’s experiential learning portfolio, professional examinations, and achieved registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health to be able to practice.
