Job description Noise Team Manager
we need a dynamic and experienced manager to lead the noise service through a period of change. A review has been completed and the interim manager will need to drive forward implementation of the recommendations that are agreed by the lead member and senior managers.
The team will need support and strong leadership and the manager will also need to ensure our customers still receive the same level of good service they are accustomed to during this time.
The manager needs to be a source of technical noise expertise for the team, directing responses to complex or contentious issues that enhance the reputation of the service in the eyes of all stakeholders – including elected members.
We are looking for significant experience of managing team of enforcement officers in an area subject to intense scrutiny by public and politicians
The service operates 7 days a week including at weekends and evenings and the manager will need to regularly work flexibly in order to achieve the objectives. The rate for this role is £350 per day plus £50ph for any additional hours worked at weekends and evenings after 7pm.
The contract is for an initial six months
Management, direction and development of a team of professional and technical staff
Monitor staff performance
Prepare and present reports as required, including attendance at committees, working parties
Implement changes in service delivery as necessary
