Job Title:        Environmental Health Officer (food)

Authorised Officers under the Food Law Code of Practice - your main focus will be food safety but you will also be providing general support across a number of key areas of activities within the team including health and safety and others.

Educated to degree standard (or equivalent), you must be EHRB registered or have a Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection awarded by EHRB or hold equivalent qualifications which have been formally assessed and endorsed by the CIEH.

You must have previous experience of successfully working as an Authorised Officer and possess up to date working knowledge of the Competency Framework as specified within the Food Law Code of Practice.

You will contribute to the team’s work programme to ensure compliance with the Council’s enforcement policies, protocols and the statutory requirements of the various government agencies, in particular the Council’s Official Food Control programme.

A driving license and a vehicle insured for business use are required.

The role will be at least until 30 December 2017

Pay is £24.25 per hour PAYE or £30 limited
